What is the biggest challenge to working in the construction industry?

Being a woman in this industry has its challenges. Most of the meetings I walk into it is a table filled with older men that are wondering my place/where I fit in. When I walk into a meeting and they realize my position, the whole mood changes. So I would say judging a book by its cover right off the jump can be difficult, and having to prove to everyone in the room that I deserve to be there just as much as they do can also be a challenge.

Who has been the most influential person in your career?

Hands down my father. He has taught me everything that I know. When it comes to work, interacting with people, different skills, you name it & he has taught me. With tough love, he has made me into the businesswoman I am today. and I couldn't be more grateful.
