What is your favorite part about being a member of PWC NJ?
I recently joined PWC NJ and have truly enjoyed the experience so far. From the very beginning, I’ve felt a strong sense of teamwork and support within the organization. It’s inspiring to see how everyone works together toward shared goals, coming from different backgrounds and experiences, while also encouraging one another to grow and succeed.
The events have been a wonderful opportunity to connect with new people. Each time, I’ve been struck by how kind, welcoming, and approachable everyone is. There’s a genuine sense of camaraderie that makes it easy to feel like part of the group – as if I’ve been a member of the group for years.
Why/when did you decide to pursue a career in construction?
My background in construction is a bit unconventional, as I originally studied graphic design in college, driven by a lifelong passion for creativity. When my current position became available, it felt like the perfect opportunity to combine my design expertise with a new challenge – and here I am!
I started my career as a graphic designer in the automotive industry, but I was eager to branch out and try something different. Transitioning into the construction field was a leap into the unknown, but I was excited to learn everything I could about this dynamic industry.
What advice would you give to someone looking to become involved in the construction industry?
Don’t hesitate to ask questions – it’s one of the best ways to learn and grow. For anyone considering a career in the construction industry, my advice is to approach every experience with curiosity and a willingness to learn. Be a sponge and absorb as much knowledge as you can.
If you’re unsure about something or need guidance, don’t shy away from seeking help. Chances are that the people around you have the experience, insight, and expertise to provide valuable support. Asking questions not only helps you gain clarity but also builds connections that can be pivotal as you progress in your career.
